    Exicom, a manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries and EV chargers, and Hero Electric have signed a contract with Exicom to provide Battery Management Systems (BMS) for Hero Electric’s electric two-wheelers in India.Exicom, an electric mobility company based in Gurugram, has signed an agreement with Hero Electric, the country’s leading EV manufacturer, to offer Exicom Battery Management Systems (BMS) for the two-wheeler company in India.Exicom will supply the EV maker with approximately 5 lakh units of its BMS each year, according to the agreement. In addition, the business stated that its BMS would allow Hero Electric to comply with the AIS-156 safety regulations, which go into force in March 2023, with phase 1 beginning in December 2022.Exicom BMS has features including health monitoring, multi-level safety checks, cell balancing, and exclusive SoX algorithms, which contribute to increasing the battery packs’ range and lifespan.According to a statement by the company officials, the BMS has travelled more than 5 crore kilometres on Indian roads overall.Anant Nahata, Managing Director of Exicom, said, “We are pleased to join forces with India’s first and largest electric two-wheeler brand – Hero Electric to support their mission of ecologically viable two-wheeler solutions for the country. We have been able to advance performance and safety through deeper tech integration.”Sohinder Singh Gill, CEO of Hero Electric, said, “BMS is the nerve centre of electric vehicles and we are constantly evaluating its design and features along with our preferred partner Exicom to offer the safest and best performing battery systems. Our new line of modular BMS will be future ready and not only conform to AIS 156 but also have additional higher level layers of safety and controls that will give our batteries the highest level of performance over their entire life cycles of  over 1500 cycles.”
