New Bajaj Pulsar 400 Launch Delayed, Now Scheduled for 2025?

Bajaj Auto, a well-known motorcycle manufacturer, had initially planned to launch its largest Pulsar model this month. However, the launch has been postponed until the financial year 2025.

The company's top executive initially mentioned launching the new Pulsar 400 by March 2024. But the motorcycle still needs to be ready for its official debut, so the launch has been pushed back a few months. Now, the launch could happen between April and June of this year.

Details about this motorcycle are not majorly available, but rumours suggest it may be named the Pulsar NS400 and could share styling with the latest Pulsar models. It's expected to feature a 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine borrowed from the KTM 390 Duke, though with potentially lower power output.

New Bajaj Pulsar 400: Engine, Design and Other Specifications

The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 400 is all set to have the same engine as the Dominar 400, which is a 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. However, it might give a slightly different power output than the Dominar, which produces 39.4bhp and 35Nm of torque. Additionally, it's expected to be lighter than the Dominar's 193kg weight.

The NS or RS range, with its strong and pointed lines, could serve as an inspiration for the Pulsar 400's design. It is most likely going to have full LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and a fully digital instrument cluster as standard. It is anticipated that the Pulsar 400 will include disc brakes on both ends, inverted forks, and a monoshock suspension system.

The Pulsar 400 is anticipated to launch sometime in 2025 and will compete against bikes like the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310 R, and TVS Apache RTR 310. If it comes in a full-faired version, it will rival the BMW G310 RR, TVS Apache RR 310, and the KTM RC 200.

Pricing-wise, it's expected to be positioned below the Dominar 400, offering one of the most affordable options in the 400cc segment in India.

The price of the new Pulsar NS400 is estimated to be around Rs 2 lakh (excluding taxes and other fees), making it the most expensive Pulsar model yet.
