Hero MotoCorp, a manufacturer of two-wheelers, declared its total sales for December 2022 at 3,94,179 units, a slight decrease from the previous month. In the same month the previous year, the firm sold 3,94,773 units, according to a statement from Hero MotoCorp.
3,81,365 units were sold domestically, up 1.83% from 3,74,485 units in December 2021.
Despite that, according to the company, exports fell from a 20,288 sales figure in the same month last year to 12,814 units this month.
The total number of Hero bikes sold in the month of December 2022 was 3,56,749, which is down from 3,76,862 in the same month the previous year.
Despite this, Hero scooters sales grew significantly from 17,911 units in the month of December 2021 to 37,430 units in December 2022.
The firm said that it sold more than 40.58 lakh units in the first 3 quarters of the fiscal year 2022–23, an increase of 8% over the corresponding period in the previous year.
For years, Hero MotoCorp has regularly sold the most two-wheelers in India, and the Splendor series is the key factor in this success. Although the official SIAM sales data for December 2022 hasn’t been made public yet, we can presume that the Hero Splendor Plus continued to be the most popular two-wheeler in November. Aside from that, Hero bike debuted the new Xpulse 200T 4V variant last month for Rs. 1.26 lakh.
