Ather Energy has started manufacturing the most affordable electric scooter, Ather Rizta. This was announced by Tarun Mehta, Co-founder and CEO of Ather Energy, on social media. Tarun Mehta shared a picture of the first Rizta, finished in Pangong Blue colour. The first Rizta scooter was made at Ather’s modern factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
Customers can book the Rizta online for just Rs 999, and deliveries are expected to begin in July. The Rizta comes in two trims: Rizta S and Rizta Z. The Rizta S starts at Rs 97,546, while the Rizta Z has variants priced at Rs 1.13 lakh and Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Rizta S has a 2.9 kWh battery, while the Rizta Z offers both a 2.9 kWh battery and a larger 3.7 kWh battery. The 2.9 kWh battery provides a range of 123 km, and the 3.7 kWh battery offers a range of 160 km. Moreover, Ather Rizta variants can be completely charged within 6-8 hours.
The Rizta S is available in three monotone colors, and the Rizta Z comes in seven colors, including three monotone and four dual-tone options. All variants of the Rizta can reach a top speed of 80 kmph. There are two ride modes: Zip and SmartEco. Moreover, Ather Rizta includes Lithium-ion batteries.
Ather Rizta stands out for its spacious design and storage. It has a total luggage space of 56 litres, with 34 litres under the seat and a 22-litre front trunk. The entire underseat storage can be lifted out as a single bag for easy use.
Ather has also provided the Rizta with the largest single-piece seat in any two-wheeler in India. The top model, Rizta Z includes a 700W Ather Duo charger. Rizta owners can also use Ather’s fast-charging network, which has over 1,800 charging points.
This Ather electric scooter features MagicTwistTM, AutoHoldTM, and Reverse Mode, which were also in the 450 series. These features make the Rizta a practical and high-tech electric scooter option. These features make the Rizta a very practical and convenient electric scooter.
