Ather 450S Launched at Rs. 1,29,999 in India

Ather 450S will be sold as an entry-level scooter, and bookings will open from July 2023

Ather Energy, the electric scooter manufacturer in Bengaluru, has expanded its product lineup in the Indian market. It is done by introducing a new base variant called the Ather 450S. The Ather 450 S will be available at Rs. 129,999 in India, and bookings will open in July.

Battery Specifications and Performance of Ather 450S

Ather 450S currently positions as the entry-level model in the 450 range, which is equipped with a 3kWh battery pack. Ather Energy claims that the scooter will offer a range of 115 km under IDC and a top speed of 90 kmph. In order to differentiate it from the higher-end 450X range, the 450S variant is expected to come with fewer features and specifications. This move by Ather Energy aims to cater to a wider customer base by offering an affordable option. However, it still provides a decent range and performance for urban commuting needs.

Prices of Ather e-Scooters after FAME II Subsidy

The Ather 450S variant will be offered alongside India's existing 450X and 450X Pro Pack models. Ather Energy has recently adjusted the prices of these variants in response to the revision of the FAME-II subsidy. As a result, the Ather 450X will be available at a price of Rs. 1,45,000, while the 450X Pro Pack will be priced at Rs. 1,65,000 (ex-showroom Bangalore). The revision of the FAME-II subsidy sets the subsidy amount at Rs. 10,000 per kWh. It also provides a maximum cap of 15 per cent of the ex-factory price. 

Booking Details of Ather 450 S

In addition to announcing the revised prices for its electric scooter range, Ather Energy has revealed that bookings for the new 450S variant will commence from July onwards. Interested buyers who wish to purchase the 450S can register for the product on Ather Energy's website.
