At the Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) in Chennai, the first-ever KTM RC CUP customer racing program ended. Riders from eight different cities took part in the racing program.
KTM announced the KTM RC CUP in December 2022. KTM owners who love racing were shortlisted and trained by KTM experts through its Racing Academy for the next three months. Further, the best 80 racers were chosen based on their lap timings.
They were then coached by ex-MotoGP racer Jeremy McWilliams and Emmanuel Jebaraj, who has won the INMRC championship seven times. The final 20 racers qualified for the challenging race at the MMRT, Chennai and gave their best performance.
Navneet Kumar from Pondicherry emerged as the winner of the first-ever RC CUP. Further, Amarnath Menon from Kozhikode and Allwin
Xavier from Thrissur stood in second and third places, respectively.
The top three winners will enjoy a Track Day with Jeremy McWilliams, witnessing a MotoGP race at the Redbull ring in Austria. They will also get a chance to visit the renowned KTM Motohall.
The event also featured a close race among India’s leading auto media riders on the KTM RC 390 at MMRT.
