Yamaha unveils 2023 Nmax 155 scooter with R15 engine

The R15 V4’s 155 cc engine powers the 2023 Yamaha Nmax 155. The scooter has been launched globally. But, unfortunately, it will not be available in India.

The R15-inspired Nmax 155 scooter from Yamaha gets a slight makeover for 2023 and debuts in Malaysia. The new model year brings minor changes to the appearance of the maxi-scooter.

There are no changes in the Nmax 155’s appearance and features. This scooter still has a smooth shape, LED lights and mostly dark parts. But for 2023, it comes in two new colours. So, people in other countries can choose either Red or Blue scooters.

The Nmax’s performance is the same as before, but that’s not bad. It has the same 155 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with VVT (Variable Valve Actuation Technology). The same engine powers the Yamaha R15 V4, MT-15 and XSR155 in other countries. 

The only difference is that the Nmax has a CVT gearbox instead of a 6-speed one. As a result, the output of engine power of this scooter is around 14.9 bhp and a Torque of 13.5 Nm. At the same time, the bikes with the same engine generate engine power of around 18 bhp. Further, the features are the same, including full-LED lights, an LCD screen and a lot of space under the seat.

The Yamaha Nmax 155 is very attractive, considering the performance and smoothness of the Aerox 155 sold in India. But the maxi-scooter is unlikely to come to the country anytime soon.
