Upcoming Benelli TRK 552X Unveiled: Know Its Specs & Features

Benelli has unveiled the new TRK 552X, a middle-weight adventure motorcycle with upgraded performance and looks. Currently available in China, it is expected to reach Europe in a few months and India by the end of the year, likely with a price increase.

Benelli, originally Italian and now Chinese-owned, has sold the TRK 502 since 2017. Although it was advanced at its launch, the TRK 502X is now outdated. The 400cc to 500cc adventure-touring market has seen rapid growth, with new models focusing on off-road and touring capabilities. Its competitors include the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure, with Kawasaki rumoured to relaunch the Versys X-300 in India.

New Benelli TRK 552X Engine

The new Benelli TRK 552X has received significant improvements in design and features. It now has dual-pod LED headlights instead of halogen headlights, which produce a more aggressive sharpness and a bigger windshield. The fairing and fuel tank are also huge, which strengthens the bike.

However, the rear of the bike looks the same as before. While it lacks ride modes and a traction control system, the TRK 552X comes with standard dual-channel ABS for better safety.

Inside the cockpit, the old analog-digital display has been replaced by a modern five-inch full-color TFT screen. This new display offers smartphone pairing, more display modes and a built-in tyre pressure monitoring system. These upgrades make the TRK 552X a competitive choice in the mid-weight adventure motorcycle segment.

The Benelli TRK 552X features a massive 552cc parallel-twin engine producing 60 bhp and 55 Nm of torque. This makes it one of the most powerful touring bikes in this class. The bike has a Marzocchi USD fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear.

It has 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels with Metzeler Tourence tyres. This tyre is suitable for road and light off-road use. Despite the comfortable ride, the 19-inch front wheels may not be ideal for serious off-roading, where 21-inch wheels would be fine
