TVS Racing's Electric Apache RTE Championship Unveiled

The specially crafted Apache RTE motorcycles will compete in the TVS Racing Electric One Make Championship (e-OMC).

The close association of racing and TVS has been a consistent theme, owing to the deep integration of racing DNA into TVS' lineup. TVS is now marking a significant milestone by introducing India's inaugural electric racing championship for two-wheel vehicles. Welcome to the TVS Racing Electric One Make Championship (e-OMC).

TVS Pioneers the Future with Electric Racing Championship

In a groundbreaking move for India, a leading OEM brings electric two-wheeler racing into the spotlight. It marks a significant achievement in TVS' motorsport legacy and underscores its dedication to environmentally friendly and sustainable mobility solutions. This aligns perfectly with the brand's ambition to lead the way in the electric two-wheeler segment across various categories.

The TVS Racing Electric One Make Championship (e-OMC) will showcase specially crafted Apache RTE motorcycles meticulously designed for racing. These exclusive Apache RTE bikes are purpose-built for the e-OMC event and will epitomize TVS Racing's legacy and the brand's extensive four-decade history in motorsport.

Scheduled for September 29th, 2023, the inaugural TVS Racing Electric One Make Championship will debut during the 4th round of the Indian National Motorcycle Road Racing Championship (INMRC). TVS aims to revolutionize the landscape of electric two-wheeler (e2W) racing through this championship. A select group of eight riders will participate in races featuring the brand-new TVS Apache RTE (Racing Throttle Electric) motorcycles.

The Race-Ready Apache RTE Electric Motorcycles

Eight carefully selected riders will compete in the 4th round of INMRC riding high-performance Apache RTE electric motorcycles designed for racing. These powerful RTE motorcycles have modern technology and excellent workmanship. The power-to-weight ratio of the liquid-cooled motor and motor controller is among the greatest in its class.

The racing electric motorcycles have cutting-edge battery chemistry and utilize a high-tech carbon fiber battery enclosure. This carbon fiber battery casing significantly reduces weight and serves as an exceptional structural component for the chassis, thanks to its remarkable stiffness and structural integrity.

The Battery Management System (BMS) is tailor-made and programmed with specialized algorithms designed for racing. In the realm of components, the TVS Apache RTE racing motorcycles come equipped with custom-built Ohlin's suspension systems both at the front and rear, as well as a Brembo braking kit that includes a 320mm front disc, calipers, and master cylinders.

Custom carbon fiber wheels are fitted with Pirelli Super Corsa tires, effectively reducing unsprung mass. The streamlined carbon fiber fairing exhibits the lowest drag coefficient in its category. Adding the finishing touch are the TVS Racing Factory colors and livery.
