British brand Norton Motorcycles, now owned by TVS Motors, is all set to celebrate its 125th anniversary. Interestingly, this brand has announced a lineup of anniversary edition models to celebrate this milestone.
The Norton V4SV, V4CR & Norton Commando 961 will now be available in 6 new exciting colour options. These colour schemes are inspired by this brand’s previous models- the Energette, Manx, Formula 750 Works Racer & NRS588. Notably, the brand will produce only 125 units of each model, making 125th Anniversary models even more inclusive. This further makes them highly sought-after collectables.
Speaking of the Commando 961, this model will be offered in Energette colour, replicating Norton’s 1st bike, manufactured in 1902. Furthermore, this model will now be available in yellow colour, brown leather seat, chromed-out components & engine. This is the only model offered in the Manx colour scheme, featuring black bodywork & frame with a silver-finished fuel tank. Additionally, the Ohlins suspension will also be painted black to stick to the theme. The Transatlantic colour scheme, inspired by the Formula 750 Works Racer's triumphant 1972 racing season, will boast a bold combination of white, red & blue all across its bodywork.
The '588' paint scheme, available on the Commando 961, V4SV & V4CR, is inspired by Norton's iconic rotary race bikes of the 80s & early 90s. This striking livery will feature a blacked-out engine, forks & suspension, complemented by a carbon fibre chain guard, flyscreen & gold OZ rims, creating an aggressive & visually captivating aesthetic.
These interesting updates & colour schemes will be available in the international markets soon. But unfortunately, these are not likely to be launched in India anytime soon.
