The prices of Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X have gone up by around Rs. 1,500 in India. This is the first time they've hiked their price since they launched nine months ago in 2023. Now, the Triumph Speed 400 price is around Rs. 2,34,497, and the Scrambler 400 X price is Rs. 2,64,496.
Triumph is known for its premium bikes and these entry-level Triumph bikes offer good value compared to others in the market. Moreover, when launched the Scrambler 400 X was cheaper than its main rivals like KTM and Royal Enfield. Even with the recent Rs. 1,500 increase, both bikes are still competitively priced. This hike might be because of inflation and the higher costs incurred while manufacturing the bikes.
Triumph Scrambler 400 X and Speed 400 have the same 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Their engine generates 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. Moreover, their engines are mated with a 6-speed gearbox for smooth shifting between gears.
The Scrambler 400X comes in Khaki Green, Carnival Red, and Phantom Black colors. It has options like Carnival Red with Phantom Black, Caspian Blue with Storm Grey, and Phantom Black with Storm Grey. Additionally, the Triumph Speed 400 is made with a hybrid spine/perimeter tubular steel. This is joined to the back subframe, along with a double-sided cast aluminium swingarm.
