Brixton Motorcycles is entering the Indian market with four models, including the Crossfire 500 XC. Its main competitor is the Triumph Scrambler 400 X. The Crossfire 500 XC ex-showroom price is about Rs. 6.91 lakh in Europe and is expected to cost around Rs. 4 lakh in India. In comparison, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X price is Rs. 2.63 lakh in India.
Here’s a comparison to see which scrambler is more convenient and practical for riders.
The Brixton Crossfire 500 XC has a 486cc parallel twin engine, which is generally smooth, and produces 47.5PS of power and 43Nm of torque. This Brixton motorcycle has a top speed of 150 Kmph.
In contrast, the Scrambler 400 X comes with a smaller 398.15cc single-cylinder engine producing 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. This powerful engine allows you to ride this bike at a top speed of 160 Kmph. Both bikes have a 6-speed gearbox, but the Brixton’s higher power and torque figures mean it can offer better performance.
Comparing the features of the Triumph Scrambler 400 X and the Brixton Crossfire 500 XC, the Scrambler bike stands out in terms of electronic rider assistance. The Scrambler 400 X has a semi-digital instrument console with an analogue speedometer, while the Crossfire 500 XC has a fully digital, negatively lit LCD console.
However, the Scrambler 400 X offers more advanced features, such as traction control and switchable ABS, which allows the rider to turn off the rear wheel ABS for better off-road control. The Crossfire 500 XC lacks both traction control and switchable ABS, making the Scrambler 400 X more versatile and safer.
