The Triumph Scrambler 400 X's engine performance aims to deliver a comfortable and effortless ride rather than being the fastest or most potent.
The 398cc liquid-cooled engine performs well even if it doesn't have a very distinctive sound or feel. It is enjoyable to ride and accelerates quickly with little effort. In tests, its performance was comparable to the Speed 400, with only a slight difference in acceleration times.
