Triumph Rocket 3 Storm: Unveiled With More Powerful Performance

The more powerful version of its Triumph Rocket 3 has been unveiled to celebrate Rocket 3’s 20th anniversary. The 2024 Triumph Rocket 3 Storm is now available in two variants, including R and GT. These bikes equip an engine with greater power and torque than previous models. Moreover, these Triumph bikes promise an exciting ride with sleek blacked-out bodywork that contributes to their visual appeal.

Let’s know more about what was revealed in the Triumph Rocket 3 Storm bike.

What is Expected in Triumph Rocket 3 Unveiled Bike?

The 2024 Rocket 3 R and GT Storm models have a revamped look with darker bodywork than previous Rocket 3 versions. Some parts, such as the rear frame forging, swingarm guard, risers and handlebar clamps, and footrest, are finished with black anodising. You can choose from three different colors: Carnival Red, Satin Pacific Blue, and Sapphire Black.

These new models will start appearing in dealerships overseas on April 24, 2024. Since the standard Rocket 3 is already available in India, we expect Triumph to introduce the Storm model there too. Moreover, this bike is expected to be priced between Rs. 22 to 24 lakh (Ex-showroom).

Triumph Rocket 3 Specifications

The upcoming Triumph Rocket 3 Storm bike has a 2458cc liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC, inline 3-cylinder engine. This engine generates 180 bhp @ 7,000 rpm and 225 Nm torque @ 4,000 rpm. Moreover, the Triumph Rocket 3 engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox that ensures smoother acceleration. Its high-displacement engine makes it one of the largest displacement production bikes in the world. Moreover, the Triumph Rocket 3 top speed will give a thrilling experience while riding as it runs on 233kmph.

The exhaust system comprises a stainless steel 3-into-1 header system with a 3-exit silencer. The Triumph Rocket 3 Storm uses a shaft to manage its final drive, which is a part that transfers power to the rear wheel.

The clutch is a wet type, meaning it's lubricated with oil, and it uses multiple plates operated hydraulically, helping riders shift gears smoothly. Additionally, this Triumph Rocket 3 unveiled bike has a feature called torque assist, which makes the clutch operation easier.

Triumph Rocket 3 Features

The R and GT versions of this Triumph bike feature many advanced features. This bike now has a multi-function instrument with a colour TFT screen. Moreover, the Triumph Rocket 3 also has a full set of electronic features, including cornering ABS, traction control, ride-by-wire, torque-assist clutch, hill hold, four ride modes, cruise control, and keyless ignition. Additionally, a quick shifter is available as an optional extra, and there's a wide selection of 50 genuine accessories to choose from.

Triumph Rocket 3 Hardware

The upcoming Triumph Rocket 3 features advanced suspension and braking systems for optimal performance. At the front, it has 47mm Showa USD 1 1 cartridge forks with adjustable compression and rebound damping, providing 120mm of wheel travel for smooth handling over bumps. Moreover, it has a fully adjustable Showa piggyback reservoir RSU suspension with a remote hydraulic preload adjuster at the rear end.

It comes with 320mm discs and Brembo M4.32 Stylema 4-piston monobloc callipers at the front. These brakes have Optimised Cornering-ABS for added safety during turns. In the rear, there's a single 300mm disc with a Brembo M4.32 4-piston monobloc calliper with Optimised Cornering-ABS. Additionally, the Triumph Rocket 3 bike now sports new 10-spoke alloy wheels, which are lighter and reduce unsprung mass by approximately 4 kg, improving agility and handling on the road.
