Top Changes In the New Yamaha M15 VS the Old

Yamaha developed the MT15, a stripped-down version of its premium R15 model. This was more reasonably priced, but it nevertheless possessed the same heart that beats in its race-faired sister. In addition, it had an athletic appeal and a cybernetic face evocative of Michael Bay's Transformers flicks.

It had the appropriate mechanicals, looked good, ran well, and cost less than R15. Yamaha revised the MT15 in April 2022, adding USD front forks, an aluminium swingarm, Bluetooth connectivity, and other features for an additional Rs. 13K. The Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 gained a reputation for being expensive when it was introduced. It lacked some amenities that owners would anticipate in a motorcycle with a high price tag. Yamaha has since introduced some of those features for MY2023.

Yamaha is now providing dual-channel ABS to start. This is MT15's most important addition. Version 2.0 of the MT-15 was supposed to include dual-channel ABS. However, it didn't. Therefore, adding a traction control system to the MY2023 MT15 is the second-most important improvement (TCS).

Dual-channel ABS and TCS were available in R15 V4 from the start. Now they are included in its MT15 naked sibling as well. The new OBD II monitoring and diagnostics is the 2023 model's third feature. According to rumours, Yamaha's smartphone app can also be used to get diagnostics information. This denotes phase II of BS6 compliance and RDE compliance.

The fourth addition to this new bike is more of a nice-to-have than a necessary one. Surprisingly, it is LED turn signals. We use the word "surprisingly" because it begs the question of how Yamaha managed to sell halogen lamps as standard equipment in India. This is a common practice among many bike manufacturers, not just Yamaha.

New Colour Options In the New Yamaha M15

This may seem unimportant. But it ought to have been part of the package from the beginning. Up to this point, Yamaha exclusively sold LED turn indicators as an add-on. Heck, it's shocking that non-M R15 V4 variants still lack LED blinkers in MY2023 models. Now that when we look at the MT-15 from 2023, we have fresh colour schemes. There has never been a metallic black colour with Fluorescent Red wheels.

Turn-by-turn navigation for the MY 2023 MT-15 and R15 has yet to be mentioned. Since Bluetooth was introduced, this was the one function many yearned for. The Yamaha MT-15 is identical to the previous model save for these five alterations. This indicates the same beautiful appearance, robotic-like visage, and 155cc 4V VVA engine with 18.4 BHP and 14.2 Nm of torque. The launch is scheduled for February 13th, and a price increase will be included.
