These new bikes will feature advanced technology, impressive fuel efficiency, and modern designs. Here’s a look at the top five upcoming 125cc bikes that are set to significantly impact the Indian biking scene.
Kawasaki’s Ninja series is popular among biking enthusiasts in India for its powerful, big-engine bikes. Now, Kawasaki is surprising everyone by launching a 125cc bike in this series. The upcoming 125cc Kawasaki Ninja bike will have a liquid-cooled engine producing 15 bhp and 11.7 Nm of torque. It is expected to be priced at around Rs. 1.70 lakh. This new addition to the Ninja lineup offers a more accessible option for riders looking for Ninja’s performance and style in a smaller, more affordable package.
Kawasaki Z125 is a smaller version of your favourite naked bike Z900. The company is introducing this bike to target budget-conscious customers. The bike is expected to come at a price of Rs. 1.40 Lakh. This upcoming 125cc bike features a 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 15 HP and 11.7 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Apart from this, it will feature LED lighting, a digital display, and a strong chassis with a Sugomi design.
The KTM 125 Duke [2024] is expected to be launched in India in July 2024. The upcoming 125cc bike is expected to be priced around Rs. 1,75,000 and Rs. 180,000 in India. The mileage of the bike is 46.52 kmpl. It has a Bosch 9.3 MP Two Channel (Supermoto ABS) system that provides strong braking.
The 2024 KTM 125 Duke features a new, muscular design, steel trellis main frame and die-cast aluminum subframe. Additionally, this upcoming 125cc KTM bike also features LED lights and advanced transmission technology for a modern, street appeal.
Swedish motorcycle manufacturer Husqvarna is also launching a sub-125cc bike. The company is likely to launch the Svartpilen 125 in March 2025. The upcoming bike will be powered by a 124.7 cc single cylinder, 4 valve, DOHC engine. It produces 12 Nm of torque and has a fuel efficiency of 45 kmpl.
The Husqvarna Swartpilen 125 features upright comfort, a lightweight chassis and a reliable single-cylinder engine. The motorcycle features a white colour scheme and graphics inspired by Swedish heritage. In India, this upcoming 125cc bike is expected to be priced around Rs. 1.35 lakhs.
Yamaha introduced the XSR125 globally in June 2021, and recently launched the XSR125 Legacy variant in Europe. This premium edition offers performance and aesthetic improvements over the standard model. The XSR125 has a 125cc single cylinder engine. It produces 14.9 PS of power and 11.5 Nm of torque.
The XSR125 is priced around Rs 1.35 lakh in India and comes in one style and three colours. Also, the XSR125 includes dual-channel ABS as standard.
