The Updated Hero Xtreme 160R's Teaser Released

Hero Motocorp has released another teaser for its upcoming Hero Xtreme 160R, launching on June 14, 2023. The latest teaser on social media shows that the bike has undergone some new updates. It confirms that the sports commuter will get a 4-valve engine from the current telescopic units the front suspension will be upgraded to USD forks. That bike will retain preload adjustable mono-shock at the rear.

Features and Performance of New Hero Xtreme 160R

This teaser also reveals that the new Hero Xtreme 160R would have four valves instead of the present model's two-valve layout. Hero MotoCorp previously modified the valve configuration on the Xpulse 200 and Xpulse 200T. The output values stayed mostly the same after the upgrade. We anticipate a similar update on the Xtreme 160R 4V. In comparison, the current motorbike model's air-cooled 163cc engine produces 15bhp at 8,500rpm and 14Nm torque at 6,500rpm. The four-valve configuration should increase the engine's top-end performance on the new Xtreme 160R.

The braking setup will be similar to the current model, and the new Xtreme 160R 4V will use petal-type disc brakes on both wheels. Similar to the current model, the safety net will include a single-channel ABS.

Price of New Hero Xtreme 160R

When released, the new Xtreme 160R 4V will compete in India with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the new Bajaj Pulsar NS160. Prices are expected to rise somewhat, with the new Xtreme 160R costing between Rs. 1.25 lakh and Rs. 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The current model starts at Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
