Ducati Panigale is powered by a 998cc engine making 233bhp with an Akrapovic exhaust system.
Ducati India recently introduced the higher-spec 2023 Panigale V4 R in the Indian market. It is available at an Ex-showroom Price of Rs. 69.99 lahks. The Panigale V4 R variant is powered by a Desmosedici Stradale, 998cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The Ducati variant has a maximum power output of 215bhp @ 15,500rpm. However, in the Akrapovic-sourced full-race exhaust system, the power and torque increase to 233bhp at 15,500rpm and 118Nm at 12,250rpm, respectively. It also features a bidirectional quick-shifter.
The race exhaust system not only boosts performance but also helps in weight reduction. With the race exhaust, the Panigale V4 R sheds 5 kg, bringing the dry weight down to 167kg compared to 172kg with the standard setup. This weight reduction further enhances the bike's agility and handling capabilities.
The suspension system of the Ducati Panigale V4 R variant is designed to provide exceptional handling and control. It features 43mm Ohlins NPX 25/30 front forks and an Ohlins TTX 36 rear mono-shock, which are fully adjustable.
The Panigale V4 R braking system is equally impressive, ensuring excellent stopping power and control. It includes twin 330mm front discs with Brembo Monobloc Stylema M4.30 callipers featuring four pistons at the front. The bike has a 245mm single rotor with a two-piston calliper at the rear.
In terms of electronics, the Panigale V4 R variant is equipped with a comprehensive package with 4 riding modes. Additionally, advanced features such as cornering ABS, traction control, launch control, wheelie control, slide control, engine brake control, and auto tyre calibration are included to optimise the bike's performance and safety in various scenarios.
The R variant also comes with some additional features and accessories. These include machined mirror block-off plates, a license plate mount removal plug for a cleaner look, and a Ducati data analyser with a GPS module.
Meanwhile, the design elements remain consistent with the ordinary Panigale V4, and the R edition keeps a twin-pod headlamp assembly, full-fairing, and aerodynamic winglets. The bike also has a muscular fuel tank, a rider-only seat, and a single-sided swingarm. Notably, it is painted differently from the other Panigale V4 models.
In the Indian market, the Panigale V4 R competes with the BMW M 1000 RR. Bookings for the premium supersport motorbike have begun in India.
