The River Indie electric scooter has had many exciting updates, so its performance and experience will be much improved. Its main improvement is that the motor is more powerful. Moreover, the 6.7 kW motor power improves acceleration and brings the top speed up to 90 km/h.
The range is increased to 120 km, and this will be achievable with an improved battery. The Indie now comes with advanced connectivity options. These options include smartphone integration for tracking ride data and improved suspension for a smoother, more comfortable ride on varied terrains.
Quick Highlights:
Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer River has launched a new variant of its Indie electric scooter and increased its price. The first variant was introduced last year; now, it has a couple of noticeable improvements. Take a look at the features and upgrades it offers.
The design of River Indie remains the same. However, the product is now available in two new colors: grey and white. River has upgraded the scooter with a new chain drive system and single-speed gearbox. A dedicated reverse switch has also been added for added convenience.
Moreover, River Indie now commands a premium hike of Rs. 18,000 over the previous price. This means it costs Rs. 1.43 lakh (ex-showroom, India) compared to Rs. 1.25 lakh for the earlier variant.
In addition to the updates noted, the River Indie keeps its preceding mechanicals, functions, and design factors. It maintains the same split LED headlight, huge boxy frame panels, and a realistic yet fashionable build. The 43-litre underseat storage and 12-litre glove box are also carried over from the previous model.
River is equipped with a 4kWh battery pack powering a 6.7kW motor, providing a range of 120 km and a top speed of 90 km/h.
