Revolt launched the RV1 electric bike, which is available in two models: a 2.2 kWh battery pack and a 3.24 kWh battery pack. The RV1 is equipped with twin shock absorbers and a chain-drive transmission. Moreover, the RV1 Revolt is an affordable motorcycle priced at ₹ 84,990 ex-showroom. It's available in RV1 and RV1+ models under the RV400 BRZ and RV400. Here's everything you need to know, which has many prices and colors to choose from.
Quick Highlights:
Both variants are available in four colors: Black Midnight Blue, Cosmic Black Red, Titan Red Silver, and Black Neon Green.
Bookings for the Revolt RV1 are now open. Interested customers can book their e-bike for just ₹499. Deliveries are expected to start on September 27, 2024.
The new Revolt RV1 has a smooth and amazing design. It has a straight headlight, wide handlebars, a long one-piece seat, and simple metal handrails. A shock guard and centre stand are included as standards for added safety and practicality.
The RV1 is available in two models: RV1 and RV1+. Both of these come with a 2.8 kW centre-mounted motor for a claimed top speed of 75 mph. The RV1 has a 2.2kWh battery pack, which provides a claimed range of 100 km on a full charge. On the other hand, the RV1+ has a claimed range of 160 km with a 3.24kWh battery pack. What's more, the RV1+ can be charged from 0 to 100 per cent in just 1.5 hours with fast charging.
Unlike the Revolt RV400 and RV400 BRZ, which use a belt drive system, the RV1 has a chain drive system. A central station would be especially useful, as it would make bike’s chain maintenance easy.
As for the base unit, Riewoldt equipped the RV1 with telescopic shock absorbers and more cost-effective twin shock absorbers. This is in contrast to the inverted brass and monoshock setup found on the RV400, which has tubeless tyres. Furthermore, the braking system is handled by 240 mm front and rear wheels.
The RV1 is equipped with a 6-inch digital instrument cluster that has two driving modes: Eco and City, as well as a reverse mode. Designed similarly to the RV400 and BRZ, the console displays essential information such as speed, battery level, time, and trip/distance readings. The bike also houses a charger inside, increasing the rider's comfort.
Overall, the Revolt RV1 is a solid motorcycle that offers great features and satisfying performance. At 84,990 Rs, it serves as an affordable electric commuter bike, and it's a good option for first-time e-bike buyers. The RV1 will compete with other electric commuting bikes, including the latest Ola Roadster. Additionally, the other alternatives available include the Ola S1 X and Amper Magnus EX.
Alongside the launch of RV1, Revolt has upgraded its flagship e-bike, RV400, to a new colour scheme called Lunar Green. The RV400 is priced at ₹1,39,950 ex-showroom, which includes the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) subsidy.
