Ola Electric will start deliveries of its Ola S1 Air from July 2023. The electric two-wheeler deliveries were supposed to begin in April of this year. However, Ola pushed back to accommodate the S1 Air's 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh battery packs. Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal recently stated on his Twitter account that the business would begin delivering the new Ola S1 Air electric scooter in July 2023.
In addition to deliveries, the purchasing window and test rides will also open in July. The speed and range of the scooter will depend on the variants. However, the Ola S1 Air price range will be between Rs. 84,999 and Rs. 1.09 Lakhs(Ex-Showroom, Bengaluru).
The Ola S1 Pro will come in 3 battery pack options - 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh. The S1 Air's 2kWh version provides a range of 85km, while the 3kWh and 4kWh variants provide a stated range of 125km and 165km, respectively. Despite their different working ranges, all three models use the same 4.5kW motor. The New S1 Pro comes with a top speed of 85km/hr with a capacity of reaching a speed of 0 to 60km/hr in 9.8 sec. The Electric Scooter takes 4.5 hours to charge from 0 to 100%.
The features of Ola S1 Air get a 7-inch touchscreen display with the latest MoveOS 3.0 version. It also has features such as OTA updates, GPS, Bluetooth connectivity, music playback, remote key, reverse mode, and side stand alert. In addition, the scooter comes in 3 ride modes Normal, Sport, and Eco.
Ola S1 Air shares a similar design to the S1 and S1 Pro models. It offers five dual-tone body colour options: Coral Glam, Porcelain White, Neo Mint, Jet Black, and Liquid Silver. The suspension setup of the S1 Air consists of standard telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear, which provide a balance of comfort and stability. The scooter features a flat footboard, drum brakes, and a grab rail for added convenience and safety.
Regarding the booking process, Ola Electric started accepting bookings for the S1 Air in February 2023, requiring a token amount of Rs 999. At that time, Ola Electric announced that customers who had ordered the S1 Air (with a 2.5 kWh battery unit) in 2022 would receive a free upgrade to the model with a 3 kWh battery pack. This upgrade ensures a larger battery capacity and potentially increased range for the scooter.
