Okinawa will soon introduce an electric cruiser: A joint venture with Tactica

Okinawa partners with Tacita. Tacita is an Italian manufacturer of electric two-wheelers. Okinawa opens a new R&D centre in Italy.
 
Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Okinawa Autotech announced a strategic development by opening its first research and development (R&D) centre in Italy, Europe. Further, the joint venture signed an investment of over 25 million euros for the next three years.
 
The first product to be developed at the global hub is an electric cruiser motorcycle. Soon the all new electric cruiser, scheduled for unveiling in India in the coming months. The company claims that the bike will have best-in-class performance in its segment worldwide. In addition, the company also added that the cruiser will have the latest technology.

The new technology centre will be led by Pierpaolo Rigo, co-founder of Tacita, and will collaborate with the local Okinawa R&D team in India. In addition, the Global R&D Center will focus on developing new products, updating the existing product portfolio, and creating an all-new electronic transmission to support next-generation products.
 
The centre will employ approximately 50 professionals from India and around the world. Furthermore, the company will soon launch an employee exchange program with Tacita. And the purpose of this initiative is to  develop employee skills domestically and internationally.
Tacita's website currently states that the company makes six electric motorcycles. In addition, the two brands develop- T-Cruise (Urban and Turismo) and T-Race (Motard, Enduro, Rally, Cross).
