Odysse Vader Finally Breaks Cover; Here’s Everything You Need To Know

Odysse, a Mumbai-based EV manufacturer, has finally introduced its much-awaited Vader E-bike in India. The electric bike is launched at a price that starts at Rs 1.09 Lakh in India (ex-showroom price for Ahmedabad).

In the other states, however, Vader is priced at Rs 1.29 lakhs (ex-showroom price). You can book your Odysse Vader today with just Rs 999. The deliveries of the same will begin in July this year.

This electric scooter is powered by a puny motor that belts out a peak output of 6.03 bhp (4.5kW) and a peak torque of 170 Nm. 

The electric motor of the e-bike draws power from a lithium-ion battery which is an IP67-rated 3.7kWh NMC battery pack. The battery pack of Odysse Vader takes about 4 hours to reach 100% from 0% charge.

The electric Odysse Vader offers 3 riding modes - Eco, Drive & Sports. In Eco mode, the Vader boasts a range of 125 km per charge and a 100 km range in Drive mode. The sports mode delivers maximum power, offers a range of only 90 km, and can reach a top speed of 85 kmph. 

Odysse Vader’s suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork at the front, and dual-spring-loaded shocks in the rear that assists the electric bike's 128kg (the kerb weight) in tackling rough terrains easily. 

As for the braking system, the bike comes with disc brakes on both ends. The front wheels are attached with 240mm disc brakes, and the rear wheel features a 220mm disc brake unit. The Vader rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, which are shod with 90/90-17 (front) & 140/70 (rear) tyres.

The Odysse Vader further features the following - 

• 7-inch display that is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance
• The android-powered display has a max brightness of 1,000 nits
• Bluetooth connectivity
• Multiple themes

The Vader electric bike also features an Odysse EV app which you can access on your phone that reflects on the screen. It gives users easy access and connectivity features including - 

• bike locator, 
• geofencing, 
• immobilisation, 
• anti-theft, track & trace, 
• low battery Alert, 
• Other features include Google Maps navigation, 18 litres of storage space, LED lighting, and regenerative braking.
