Mumbai-based Odysse Electric company has just launched two new electric scooters. One is called the Snap, which is faster and costs Rs 79,999. The other is the E2, priced at just Rs 69,999.
This electric scooter directly competes with the Ather Rizta, with the same pricing. These prices are for buying directly from the showroom in Mumbai. The Snap is their second big launch after the Vader electric motorcycle last year. They revealed both scooters at their yearly dealer conference in Lonavala, Maharashtra.
Let’s know more about these newly launched Odysse electric scooters:
Discussing the new launches, Nemin Vora - CEO of Odysse Electric, said, "At Odysse Electric, we strive to redefine the electric mobility landscape with sustainable and innovative solutions that empower consumers and contribute to a greener future. With the introduction of the SNAP high-speed scooter and the E2 low-speed scooter, we demonstrate our unwavering commitment to excellence, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. It is our belief that these new offerings will set new standards for electric two-wheelers in India and beyond."
The Snap electric scooter is powered by a 2kW electric motor. It runs on a top speed of 60kmph. Moreover, the Snap features a smart battery certified by AIS156, giving it a range of 105km on one charge. It takes less than 4 hours to charge fully. This EV two-wheeler also has a display to monitor the battery level and calculate how far you can go. In addition, it offers cruise control for easier riding.
On the other hand, the E2 scooter has a smaller 250W electric motor, so it only goes up to 25 kmph. Its battery details aren't fully disclosed, but it can go up to 70 km on one charge. Moreover, this Odysse electric scooter takes around 4 hours to charge.
