Hero MotoCorp, alongside Royal Enfield, will be among the Indian brands participating in EICMA 2023. Furthermore, Hero is all set to display a brand-new maxi-scooter with some EV products at this renowned trade show. Let’s see what the teaser reveals!
In a teaser shared on the company’s social media, this maxi-scooter is powered by a liquid-cooled engine. However, Hero currently features a liquid-cooled engine only in one lineup, the latest Karizma XMR model. Let’s see if this maxi-scooter will retain a similar engine from Karizma or will have a completely new engine.
Moreover, the teaser reveals that this Hero maxi-scooter will come with a keyless ignition, a first for the company. Additionally, it seems to be designed for touring ability as it features a large windscreen alongside a top box.
Speaking of design, this maxi-scooter appears to be the same as its earlier design patent, setting it apart from other locally manufactured scooters. However, the distinctive feature uncommon in Indian scooters is an underbone frame that this Hero maxi-scooter features.
Underbone frames are prominent on maxi & sporty scooters in Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia. However, these frames are relatively rare in India. Thus, this upcoming Hero maxi-scooter has the potential to be the first scooter featuring this distinctive chassis design in the country.
