Moto Morini 650cc cruiser design patent revealed: could launch in India

The Moto Morini 650cc segment is ready to get another cruiser bike in the lineup. The recent design patent of Moto Morini reveals that the company is progressively working on a cruiser motorcycle in the segment of 650cc. The bike will have a fancy appearance with a small headlight cowl and side mirrors. This cruiser bike could launch in India soon.

Design and Specifications

The design patent shows a motorcycle that resembles a cruiser, with a slanted front end and a swoop down from the headstock through the fuel tank extended to the rider's seat. It's something new and very different from the old Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, launched recently. The Moto Morini cruiser has a design like a small shroud around the headlight, windshield and side mirrors.

The fuel tank has different designs, unlike the curved tanks that we see in traditional cruisers. The Moto Morini cruiser fuel tank is more of a squarish design. If you talk about the resemblance of this new cruiser closely resembles the Honda Rebel models. Further, this cruiser has an advanced and massive radiator shroud. Since it is equipped with an enormous 650cc engine which is meant for long rides, the better radiator is a plus point.

The engine of this new cruiser will be similar to the machines used in Seiememezzo and X-Cape models. But you may find a difference on the chassis around it, which is all new. Furthermore, the new cruiser has new specifications like a double-cradle design and suspension consisting of a telescopic fork and dual-shock absorber, unlike the USD fork and mono-shock on other MM 650s.

Suppose the engine of this new cruiser produces the same 60 bhp of power in addition to 54 Nm of torque, similar to existing models. It will make the Morini cruiser almost as powerful as the Kawasaki Vulcan S. The parallel-twin engine of this cruiser, sourced from CFMoto. In addition, it has more than a passing resemblance to Kawasaki's own manufactured 649cc parallel twin engine. However, despite the similarities, the Kawasaki engine retains the lead, having an additional peak torque of 8 Nm. 

Design patents, often produced close to the start of the launch. The series production of a new model from Morini indicates that this Morini cruiser will soon be available for completion. Along with the rest of the company's 650cc range being offered in the market, it's no wonder this model will soon be launched in India.
