KTM is not going to make electric scooters. The focus will be on entry-level motorcycles. Electric motorcycle in development.
KTM is unlikely to add the electric scooter to its lineup anytime soon. Owner of Kiska design, Gerald Kiska has confirmed it to the public. According to Kiska, the Austrian brand KTM, known for its performance-focused motorcycles. And adding an electric scooter in the lineup would deviate from that ideal of the company.
However, KTM introduced the E-Speed electric scooter at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. The scooter showcased with a trellis frame, minimalist design and orange colour. Further, the scooter looked advanced and matched KTM's styling exactly. However, it was only a concept to show the possibilities of the brand and Kiska Designs.
However, KTM does have electric bikes. The KTM is currently limited to motocross models like the Freeride E-XC and SX-E 5 and SX-E 3. Furthermore, no launch date has been confirmed yet for the e-bikes from KTM.
