Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) reported increased sales performance in November 2023, witnessing growth in both domestic sales and exports. The highlight of the month was the introduction of the new CB350. The Honda CB350 comes in two variants – DLX and DLX Pro, priced at Rs. 1,99,900 and Rs. 2,17,800 respectively. Bookings are open, and deliveries have already commenced.
In terms of sales, Honda 2W (two-wheeler) sales, including both domestic and export, reached 4,47,849 units in November 2023. This marked a substantial 20% year-over-year (YoY) growth compared to the 3,73,221 units sold in November 2022, reflecting a significant volume increase of 74,628 units. Domestic sales specifically exhibited an 18.99% improvement, rising from 3,53,540 units in November 2022 to 4,20,677 units in the past month, showcasing a remarkable 67,137 unit volume growth.

Honda 2W exports showed an even more substantial increase compared to domestic sales, surging by 38.06% to 27,172 units in November 2023, up from 19,681 units shipped in November 2022.

However, on a month-to-month (MoM) basis, Honda 2W faced a setback in both domestic sales and exports. Total sales experienced a decline of 9.14%, dropping from 4,92,884 units in October 2023. Domestic sales were lower by 9.09%, totaling 4,20,677 units last month compared to 4,62,747 units sold in October 2023. Exports also dipped by 9.84%, decreasing from 30,137 units shipped in October 2023.
In November 2023, Honda 2W engaged in various activities, including the inauguration of new BigWing showrooms in Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Nagercoil (Tamil Nadu), aligning with the company’s #GoRidin spirit.
Additionally, Honda conducted road safety programs in 12 cities across the country, spanning locations such as Bathinda (Punjab), Bagepalli (Karnataka), Kolhapur (Maharashtra), Tulungia (Assam), Chittorgarh (Rajasthan), Aizawl (Mizoram), Hubli (Karnataka), Hyderabad (Telangana), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Dewas (Madhya Pradesh), Nashik (Maharashtra), and Noida (Uttar Pradesh). The company also celebrated the 9th anniversary at the Traffic Training Park in Delhi.
In the realm of motorsports, the IDEMITSU Honda Racing India team accumulated 6 points in Round 5, bringing their total to 27 points in the 2023 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC). Additionally, Honda Racing Corporation announced the signing of Luca Marini for the 2024 and 2025 MotoGP World Championship seasons.
