Honda recently held a test ride event at Bigrock Dirt Park in Bengaluru, wherein riders tried out the CRF 300 Rally and CRF 300L. These 300cc off-road bikes feature good-quality hardware, a rugged build, a tall stand, a bench seat, an upswept exhaust, and a tall front fender.
Honda's strong Activa brand image has overtaken its different bikes in India. However, with its top class Bigwing showrooms, Honda pursues to expand its presence. The launch of the CRF range ought to have a good impact on the Indian off-road market. These bikes can be competitively priced in India and provide strong competition within the 300-400cc off-road segment.
In India, the 300cc motorcycle market is growing rapidly, with brands like Bajaj, Royal Enfield, and BMW offering various models. Honda CRF 300L and CRF 300 Rally have a 286cc single-cylinder engine that produces 26.9bhp and 26.6Nm of torque. Moreover, their engines are mated with a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. They come with purposeful hardware, including 43mm USD front forks and a linked rear shock.
The off-roading market in India is developing fast, with famous bikes just like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and Yezdi Adventure. KTM is also updating its 390 Adventure, and Kawasaki has the Versys X-300, KLX, and MX bikes.
Honda recently held a test event in Bengaluru and plans to go to more towns. They are likely to launch those motorcycles in India within 2 years. The final rate will depend on whether they're assembled from kits (CKD) or absolutely manufactured in India.
Honda's CRF 300L and CRF 300 Rally might be sturdy contenders in this segment. Priced at $5,449 (around Rs. 4.55 lakh) for the CRF 300L and $6,199 (around Rs. 5.17 lakh) for the CRF 300 Rally, they need to be around Rs. 3 lakh in India to compete.
