Comparatively, in May 2022, domestic sales were slightly higher at 320,844 units, and exports stood at 32,344 units, making a total of 353,188 units.
These figures indicate a decline in Honda's two-wheeler sales for May 2023 compared to the previous year. Domestic sales witnessed a decrease of 9,700 units, and exports experienced a decline of 14,095 units. As a result, there was an overall decline of 23,795 units, marking a 6.74% fall.

Upon analysing the year-on-year growth percentage, a negative trend becomes apparent. Domestic sales for Honda witnessed a decline of 3.02%, while exports experienced a significant decrease of 43.58% in May 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

Domestic sales saw a drop of 27,145 units, while exports decreased by 18,209 units, resulting in an overall decrease of 45,354 units. This signifies a negative growth rate of 8.02% on a month-on-month basis.
Examining the market share for April 2023, Honda's domestic sales held a dominant share of 90.27%, with exports contributing a mere 9.73% to the overall sales.
