Hero Confirms Launch of Multiple Vida e-Scooters by 2025

The company is planning to establish 100 additional dealerships by 2024.

Hero Vida, the world's top two-wheeler manufacturer's electric vehicle (EV) business, recently announced an aggressive brand expansion strategy during an investor conference. The company is planning to launch Multiple Vida e-scooters for the Indian market by 2025. It also plans to open 100 more dealerships nationwide by 2024

This strategic decision seeks to reinforce Hero Vida's position in the intensely competitive e-scooter industry and look into future vehicles that will be based on the V1 e-scooter platform.

Availability of Electric Scooters by Hero till 2024

Along with expanding its dealer network, Hero Vida will invest in developing a larger section of electric scooters, which are slated to be available in Q4 2024. The business intends to eventually roll out a variety of electric scooters based on the V1 technology. As a result, we should expect several Vida e-scooter models, such as sporty and daily commuter models, that could serve various types of users.

New Design that Vida will Offer

The Vida V1 Pro now offers a good combination of sportiness and practicality for regular usage. However, as an e-scooter, it falls short in both areas. As a result, enthusiasts would be quite interested in a sportier Vida model with greater peak speeds and a more aggressive design. Similarly, imagining a family e-scooter from Hero's portfolio, similar to TVS' iQube, would ideally complement Hero's broad market appeal.

Planning and Strategy of Hero

Hero Vida plans to expand its national presence and introduce new electric scooters. Competition in this space is increasing, with various brands offering electric scooters based on similar platforms but with different pricing and features. Given Hero's successful approach with their ICE scooters, it makes sense for them to replicate that approach with the Vida brand as well.

Hero can apply similar strategies to the electric scooter segment through the use of its experience and expertise in the scooter market.
