Harley Davidson is all set to officially launch its entry-level bikes today. The brand will launch its most affordable Harley yet - X350 along with X500.
Harley Davidson X350 was spotted not so long ago at US-based Bert’s dealership, which was previously being used for training. In the spied shots, X350 was seen boasting an aftermarket engine crash guard and a swing-arm slider in order to prevent it from any severe damages in case of a collision with roads.
Harley Davidson X350 shares a similar design with the sketches that were released by the brand a year ago. The bike seemed to feature an LED headlight, a raised tail section, a scooped seat and a peanut-shaped fuel tank. The bike further featured a wide handlebar and slightly raised rear-set footpegs, suggesting a rather comfortable ergonomics.
As for the X350’s mechanical specifications, what we know so far is bleak. However, the regulatory documents suggest Harley Davidson X350 will likely come with a 353 cc parallel-twin motor paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine might belt out roughly 36.2 bhp and 31 Nm, like the SRK 350, which uses a similar engine.
Harley Davidson X350 will probably feature a trellis frame suspended upon USD forks on the front and mono-shock at the rear. As for the braking system, the bike will come with dual petal disc brakes on the front and a single disc on the rear. The bike might come with dual-channel ABS as standard too. According to the leaked documents, X350 might have a kerb weight of 193 kg.
Talking about the Harley Davidson X500, it is likely to share its motor with Benelli Leoncino 500. The 500cc liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine belts out 47 bhp at 8,500 RPM and 46 nm at 6,000 RPM, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. So Harley Davidson X500 might offer the same output, if not more. However, there might be a chance of a slightly different gear ratio and a change in power delivery for sure.
Both models are going to be launched later today. However, in India, the launch of these motorcycles may take in early 2024. In India, the Harley Davidson X350 will directly compete with Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Honda CB350. On the other hand, Harley Davidson X500 will compete with Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
