According to the latest FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations) sales data for FY 2023, the Indian 2-wheeler market experienced a tremendous growth of 18.54% when compared to FY 2022.

The FADA sales report revealed a total sales growth of 18.54%, with 1,59,95,968 units sold in FY 2023 as compared to 1,34,94,214 units sold in FY 2022. Therefore, registering an increase of 25,01,754 units from the previous FY to the current financial year.

Hero MotoCorp led the 2-wheeler market in India for FY2023, boasting a total sales volume of 51,30,611 units. The company saw an increase of 10.68% YoY, with the FY2022 sales figure at 46,35,480 units.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. took the second spot for FY 2023 with a growth of 30.90%, with 38,92,340 units sold this FY, as opposed to 29,73,481 units sold in FY 2022. Finally, TVS Motor Company took 3rd place on the list. The company marked a growth of 24.47% for FY’23, with 24,84,863 units sold this FY, as opposed to 19,96,405 units sold in the previous financial year.
Ola Electric became the top player in the EV 2-wheeler market for FY’23, with a total sales volume of 1,52,542 units. In addition, the company registered a massive growth percentage of 959.25%, with only 14,401 units sold in the previous financial year.
Okinawa AutoTech took the next place on the list with a FY year-over-year growth of 103.71%. The company sold 94,626 units in FY 2023, as compared to 46,452 units sold in FY 2022. Hero Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd also saw an impressive FY year-over-year growth of 35.66%. Hero Electric sold 88,591 units in FY 2023 as compared to 65,306 units sold in FY 2022.
