Hero MotoCorp is most known for its small 100-125 cc motorcycles globally. But, recently, the brand took a major turn with its Mavrick 440, with which it entered the 440 cc segment. It is the first and most powerful bike offering yet.
Mavrick 440 shares the same platform as the Harley Davidson X440, which was co-produced by Hero Motocorp. Henceforth, there is a major similarity between these 2 bikes. But the question lies in whether Mavrick 440 is able to create its own reputation or not.
Hero MotoCorp has put extra thought into bringing sportiness and muscularity to its Mavrick 440 motorcycle. This bike comes with a huge front fascia with its round LED headlamp along with large turn indicators that give the motorcycle a modern look. Looking straight at the bike from the front, you can see large muscular tank shrouds, giving it a macho look.
From the side, you can see exposed chassis tubes and single seats, giving the bike a unique and one-of-a-kind look. In the rear, you can see wider tyres, larger grab handles and huge turn indicators. Hero Mavrick 440 is offered in 5 colour options through 3 variants options.
Hero Mavrick 440 boasts a ton of features, including all-LED lights. The instrument console comes with a negative display, offering clear visibility. Additionally, this unit also offers Bluetooth & smartphone app connectivity. This enables riders to easily access the turn-by-turn navigation system and get notifications with battery status.
The console also shows a host of other information, including distance-to-empty, real-time mileage, odometer, speed, and gear indicator. The features don’t end there, though, Maverick 440 also features a convenient USB charging port that offers riders a lot of convenience.
As mentioned earlier, Hero Mavrick 440 and Harley Davidson X440 share the same engine. However, Mavrick 440’s 440cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine churns out 2 NM torque more than that of the HD X440, meaning Mavrick 440’s engine churns out 26 bhp & 36 NM of peak torque. Moreover, the Mavrick 440 is 4 kg lighter in weight compared to the X440.
With Mavrick 440, you’ll experience minor vibrations with the easy throttle, shorter gear shifts and a consistent speed of 70-80 kmph. However, once you exceed 100 kmph speed, you might start feeling some vibrations, but only on the handlebars. However, it does have a very impressive light clutch, which has slip-assist technology.
Additionally, the trellis chassis, wider handlebars, and 17-inch front wheel allow for a very stable and easy ride. The suspension system on Hero Mavrick 440 has been tuned and performs impressively well. The ride isn’t too plush but still offers a fatigue-free ride.
The best part is the seating comfort that this bike offers. The height is very good, making it very easy to get on and off. The seat triangle is very ergonomic for touring, commuting and even off-
roading. The upright riding posture makes it so much easier to tackle city traffic situations. The weight distribution on this bike is also great.
Overall, this Hero Mavrick 440 is definitely a one-of-a-kind motorcycle offering the best combination of performance and comfort like no other in the market.
