Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Teased: To Be Launched Soon in India

Ducati India has teased the upcoming launch of the Hypermotard 698 Mono on social media. This new bike is Ducati's first single-cylinder model in over 30 years. It was first shown in November 2023. Moreover, this Ducati bike will come in two variants, including Standard and RVE. While Ducati hasn't announced the exact launch date, it's expected to be scheduled in the coming weeks.

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Design & Features

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono is designed similarly to the Hypermotard 950. It has an aggressive look with an LED headlight and a long beak underneath, a slim fuel tank, and a sleek side and tail section. The twin exhaust pipes are located just under the tailpiece. Furthermore, this Ducati bike has sharp body panels.

The bike features a 3.8-inch LCD display and is equipped with ride-by-wire, Bosch cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and engine brake control. Moreover, it comes with four riding modes, including Sport, Road, Urban, and Wet. It also has three power modes. All these settings can be accessed through the LCD instrument cluster.

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Performance

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono features a powerful 659cc, liquid-cooled engine. It produces 77.5 bhp @ 9,750 rpm and 63 Nm @ 8,000 rpm of torque. Moreover, with an optional Termignoni race exhaust, these figures increase to 84.5 bhp and 67 Nm. This makes it the most powerful single-cylinder engine in the world.

Furthermore, this upcoming Ducati bike has a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. The RVE variant comes with a quick-shifter as standard, while the base model can add one for the extra cost. The bike's frame is a mix of steel trellis and steel-tube subframe, with an aluminium swingarm. It has an adjustable Marzocchi USD fork and a Sachs monoshock for suspension. Moreover, it uses Brembo M4.32 callipers on a 330mm front disc and a 245mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper.
