Deliveries For River Indie Began, Price Will Be Updated Soon!

The Bangalore-based electric vehicles manufacturer River has started the deliveries for its debut electric scooter, the Indie. Launched in February 2023, the production for its first scooter was started in August.

Interestingly, customers who had pre-ordered the scooter got it during an event organised in Bangalore. The next batch of deliveries is likely to be started next month. 

Specs, Design & Features of The River Indie

Coming to the Specs first, the Indie is powered by a 6.7 kW motor, producing 27 Nm of torque.

Speaking of Design, the scooter has a utilitarian & unique appearance, featuring large LED headlamps, 14-inch alloy wheels, and 240 mm front & 200 mm rear disk brakes. 

In terms of Features, the scooter comes with many interesting key features, including a 6-inch digital instrument cluster & USB Ports. The scooter also features 3 riding modes- Eco, Ride & Rush. 

Price & Rivals of The River Indie

The scooter was initially priced at Rs. 1,25,000. However, the River later made an announcement about updating the price soon. Notably, TVS iQube & the Ather 450X are currently the major rivals of the River Indie.
