BSA Trademarked Names of Thunderbolt, Lightning, and Bantam Models

BSA Trademarked Names of Thunderbolt, Lightning, and Bantam Models

The leading brand has applied for the Trademark of the three models. However, it still needs to be determined this time what the exact plans for these trademarks are or whether BSA will produce new versions of these models or not.

The British motorcycle company BSA has applied for trademarks in the US, Australia, and New Zealand for Thunderbolt, Lightning, and Bantam models. BSA previously marketed their 650 cc OHV parallel-twin cylinder bikes under Thunderbolt and Lightning, which sustained popularity for years in the UK.

The Goldstar was spotted during testing in India, suggesting that BSA is considering launching the bike in India or other markets. However, without official confirmation from the company, it's impossible to convey their upcoming plans.

BSA Bantam Comparisons with New Jawa and Yezdi

The BSA motorcycles were made based on classic British designs like the New Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles, so if Bantam comes into the Indian market, it will compete with these two. BSA Bantam was a lightweight two-stroke engine bike created between 1948 and 1971, and the original BSA Bantam garnered widespread acclaim in numerous countries, including the United Kingdom. Highly praised for their classic aesthetic, the New Jawa and Yezdi bikes have been particularly popular in markets like India.

It's unclear whether BSA motorcycles will make an appearance in India anytime soon, as it has a significant presence in International markets. Conversely, Jawa and Yezdi appear to be placing a greater emphasis on the Indian market, where they have a notable presence and are recognized brands.

Many international brands have seen triumph in India's substantial motorcycle market in recent years. So, If BSA decides to release motorcycles in India, they would make a significant impact on the growing market.
