BMW launched its new electric scooter CE 02 for USD 7,599 (Rs. 6.28 lakh) for the base model and USD 8,474 (Rs. 7 lakhs) for the Highline variant. The CE 02 is more affordable than the CE 04 electric scooter, which starts at USD 12,195 (around Rs. 10.07 lakh). Additionally, the CE 02 has a compact and lightweight design, making it a great choice for navigating city streets.

Two battery pack options are available in the CE 02 electric scooter for users, such as a single or dual battery pack option. Each lithium-ion battery pack has a capacity of 2 kWh. The scooter weighs 119 kg and has a range of 45 km on a single battery. The maximum speed is 45 kmph. Many European nations will not require a licence for the single-battery version. However, in India, no licence electric scooters must have their top speed limited to 25 kmph.
The CE 02 dual-battery pack model weighs 132 kg and has a range of 90 km. It produces 15 hp of power and has a peak speed of 95 kmph. Both variants can be charged using a normal 0.9 kW charger, and a 1.5 kW rapid charger is also available. The dual-battery pack version takes 5 hours 12 minutes to charge with the conventional charger and 3 hours 30 minutes with the fast charger.
The standard charger can charge the single-battery version in 3 hours and 2 minutes. BMW CE 02 has ride modes of Surf and Flow. Users choosing the Highline trim get an additional Flash riding mode. The Highline package also includes other exclusive features such as a Highline colour scheme, backend connectivity, external quick charger, heated grips and a highly integrated SP Connect smartphone holder.
