BMW Motorrad has opened pre-launch bookings for the F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure in India. These bikes are expected to launch later this month and will replace the current F 850 GS models. The F 900 GS is designed for hardcore adventure, while the F 900 GS Adventure is more touring-friendly. BMW has started teasing these new bikes on social media, and both models will be fully imported.
The older F 850 GS models are priced between Rs 12.95 lakh and Rs 13.75 lakh. However, the new F 900 models will likely be more expensive. Pre-bookings are already open, and the bikes will be launched soon.
The BMW F 900 GS has a new rally-inspired design that makes it look slimmer than the older F 850 GS. The bike has a higher handlebar and lower foot pegs for better road control.
Both the F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure are powered by an 895cc twin-cylinder engine that produces 105PS of power and 93Nm of torque. These bikes are more powerful than the older model. Moreover, they can reach speeds of over 200kmph. The F 900 GS Adventure also has new body panels and looks a bit sleeker but still has the front beak. It weighs 246kg, which is 2kg lighter than the F 850 GS Adventure.
Furthermore, these bikes come with advanced features like riding modes, traction control, ABS, and a quick-shifter, all controlled through a 6.5-inch display. Other features include LED lights, keyless ignition, and more.
