BMW has already unveiled its CE02 last month in July 2023 worldwide. Now, the electric scooter has seen spotted testing in India. BMW once again captured the attention of its customers by bringing this futuristic design e-scooter. The new BMW was spied on just a month after its Global debut. It was in a parking spot in a public space in Sringeri, Karnataka.
The BMW scooter is available at USD 7.6k in the international markets, approximately Rs 6.3 lakh. TVS Motor is most likely testing the scooter, which is BMW's Indian manufacturing partner. Additionally, TVS manufactures the BMW G310 range of motorcycles sold in India and exported worldwide.
It can be expected that TVS is testing the scooter to launch its version in India. One possibility is that TVS plans to start manufacturing this new BMW electric scooter at their plant. The BMW CE 02 looks different from conventional scooters. It grabs attention with its youthful and rebellious spirit.
The level of modification provided by the CE 02 is one of its most notable features. Customers have many customisation choices and accessories to pick from. It allows them to customise the scooter to their specific preferences.
BMW is making it possible for users to stay connected while riding their CE 02 electric scooter. The floating impression created by the 3.5-inch small TFT screen installed on a single bracket displays various information. Users may take connectivity to the next level by pairing their cellphones with the BMW Backend Connectivity and BMW Motorrad Connected app. It unlocks a wide range of features available via specialised switches on the left handle.
The CE 02 includes several features, such as LED headlights, USD front forks, a single-piece flat seat, a raised handlebar, and stylish rear-view mirrors. Although the riding position is fairly comfortable, understanding the eccentric character of this electric vehicle may take some time. The CE 02 has a double-loop steel frame with an adjustable rear shock absorber beneath its distinctive appearance. It has 14-inch wheels on both ends, which gives it a rising solid street appearance.
The BMW CE 02 safety features include disc brakes and an Anti-Lock Braking System on the front wheel. Meanwhile, the rear wheel benefits from a single-sided swingarm and belt-drive mechanism.
The BMW CE 02 offers a versatile battery configuration with the option to select a single or dual battery pack, each boasting a 2 kWh capacity. If you opt for the single-battery variant, the CE 02 maintains a weight of 119 kg. Its configuration offers a range of 45 km alongside a top speed of 45 kmph.
Notably, the single-battery iteration is exempt from requiring a license in numerous European nations. However, the scenario differs in India, where electric scooters without a license must adhere to a 25 kmph top speed restriction.
