Auto Expo 2023: Benda LFC700 Cruiser Launches in India

Auto Expo 2023: At the ongoing Auto Expo, Benda, a Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer, officially debuted the Benda LFC700 cruiser motorbike in India. The LFC700 comes in two variations: standard and fat rear tyre, and it sports an inline four-cylinder engine and a fat rear tyre. Zhejiang Changling Binjiang Motorcycle Co., Ltd., situated in Hangzhou, produces a variety of small displacement scooters and motorcycles with displacements ranging from 400cc to two cylinders under the Benda Motor Group brand. The LFC700 is the brand's first four-cylinder car and has a 680cc inline four-cylinder engine.

The engine's maximum output is 86 bhp at 10,000 rpm, a maximum torque of 60 Nm at 8,000 rpm for the base model and 91 bhp at 11,000 rpm, and a maximum torque of 63 Nm at 8,500 rpm for the high-power variant. It travels via a 6-speed transmission and is directed to the back tyre.

The high-power version also has a slip-and-assist clutch, keeping with its cruiser roots. A 20-litre fuel tank, a low 695mm seat height, and a sizable 310mm, 18-inch rear wheel are further features of the bike. With a 19-inch wheel and a 130mm tyre up front, the curb weight is 235 kg. The peak speed of the high-power variant is 195 km/h, whereas the top speed of the standard variant is 170 km/h.

The production model, like the prototype, has a spherical LED headlamp shaped like a turbine and a full-colour TFT display. A distinguishing characteristic is an under-belly exhaust, which features four square-shaped tailpipes directly in front of the back wheel yet vents exhaust gases to the side. Inverted front forks are a feature of both the base and high-power models. However, the base model has internal forks, and the high-power model has KYB forks.

The base and high-power varieties of the equipment differ in other areas as well. Although both versions have dual-channel ABS, the top-spec high-power variant has Brembo brakes, while the base variant has Nissin brakes. In China, prices start at about CNY 48,500. (approximately Rs 5.57 lakh).
