Bajaj has launched a new Model, Bajaj Pulsar N160, in the Indian market. The company has made its engine better than before. In addition, Bajaj Auto has started introducing OBD2 and E20 fuel-compliant bikes. The latest bike is now available at the dealerships. Interestingly, the new bike is the most affordable motorcycle in the Pulsar range. The 2023 Pulsar N160 motorcycle is launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1,29,645.
The big change in the new Pulsar is that it consists of an OBD2-compliant engine. The new motorcycle can also support E20 fuel. The update came after new RDE and BS6 Phase 2 emission rules entered the country. Auto companies are updating their vehicles to comply with the new emission norms.
The diagnostic system of Bajaj's new Pulsar can track emission levels in real-time. If a problem occurs, the same can be seen on the dashboard through an indicator. The motorcycle is made to be E20 fuel compliant, meaning 20% ethanol mixed fuel and petrol will also work in this bike.
The new model of Bajaj Pulsar offers a 164.82 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine attached to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine produces 15.68bhp at 8,750rpm and 14.65Nm of peak torque at 6,750rpm. The company has retained the single-pod projector-style headlight with its twin DRLs. The bike also features a body-coloured headlamp cowl, colour-matching front fender, engine cowl, and a split-style seat.
The Components of the 2023 Bajaj Pulsar N160 remain the same, such as the suspension system, which consists of a mono-shock at the rear and a 31mm telescopic fork up front. A 280mm front disc and 230mm unit at the rear of the new Pulsar N160 from Bajaj are responsible for braking the vehicle. The front brake of the 2023 N160 with dual-channel ABS has a slightly bigger diameter of 300mm.
There is no change in the design and styling of the Pulsar N160, as the new bike will get 17-inch alloy wheels. In addition, 3 colour variants are available in N160 – Racing Red, Brooklyn Black, and Caribbean Blue colours. Additional features include a semi-digital instrument cluster, USB charger, and distance-to-empty meter.
