Bajaj Motors unveils new Premium Edition of Chetak at Rs. 1.52 Lakh

Today, Bajaj Auto unveiled the 2023 Chetak Premium Edition in India, which can be purchased for Rs. 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom). This edition comes in three different colours, including Matte Caribbean Blue, Satin Black, and Matte Coarse Grey. Additionally, it features a two-tone seat, rearview mirrors that match the body colour, and a new coloured LCD instrument console.

The manufacturer situated in Chakan offers some captivating touches, such as satin black details on the grab rail and pillion footrest. Further, the company enhanced the beauty of this premium scooter with a charcoal black finish on the headlamp and turn indicator surrounds

Additionally, the vehicle boasts multi-spoke black alloy wheels adorned with white rim stickers, a black single-piece seat, and design elements inspired by the classic Chetak model.

The Chetak brand has experienced a rapid expansion across the country, which has resulted in consistent growth in sales numbers. Furthermore, the monthly production rate is ranked at the top, producing 10,000 units per month

The 2023 Bajaj Chetak Premium Edition is now available for booking at authorised dealerships, and customer deliveries are scheduled to begin next month.

Bajaj aims to extend the reach of the Chetak to 85 cities by the month-end, and the number of experience centres is set to increase as well. Recently, Bajaj announced a 20% increase in the Chetak's claimed driving range to 108 km.

The Chetak is in competition with other electric scooters such as Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X, and TVS iQube S.

The standard version of the Bajaj Chetak has a price tag of Rs. 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), while the premium variant is priced at an additional Rs. 30,000.

Recently, Yulu launched the Miracle GR and DeX GR, two models designed for urban commuting and last-mile transportation in India. These models are manufactured at Bajaj's production facility, and the startup company has a partnership with the brand.

Due to the increasing competition, Bajaj and other leading two-wheeler manufacturers are anticipated to introduce fresh electric models in order to shift towards e-mobility. The influence of electric vehicles in the two-wheeler industry is already evident when compared to four-wheelers.
