Bajaj Auto manufactures 125-400 cc models for two giants, KTM and Husqvarna. The Husqvarna 401 range has yet to be available in India. Both brands are planning to manufacture a 48-volt electric bike.
The joint venture of Bajaj-KTM achieved the magical milestone of one million bikes. Under this partnership, Bajaj Auto manufactures bikes under 500cc for both the brands, KTM and Husqvarna in India. Some models are sold domestically, while others are exported to several countries.
KTM motorcycles manufactured by Bajaj Auto include the fully faired RC range, the Duke roadster series, and the Adventure models. The RC range consists of the RC125, RC200 and RC390 models. Meanwhile, the Duke series includes 125 Duke, 200 Duke, 250 Duke and 390 Duke. In addition, the Adventure line consists of the 250 Adventure and 390 Adventure models. The RC range has recently been updated, and the Duke series will receive an update in the coming months. However, the launch timing of the updated Duke line is still unknown.
Bajaj Auto also makes Husqvarna models such as the Svartpilen 250, Svartpilen 401, Vitpilen 250 and Vitpilen 401. While quarter-litre models are sold in India, the 401 range is not available yet. So instead, they are exported to several world markets. In addition to the models mentioned above, both brands are working on a common 48-volt electric two-wheeler platform.
