Ather Energy has added three new scooters: a 450S and two 450Xs. The X trim is now available in two frames with 2 battery options & features. Let's examine each of the three Ather 450 products that are now available in the Indian market.
The Ather 450 electric scooters maintain the same design in their most recent edition. As a result, the turn indicators positioned on the handlebar cowl & the LED headlamp are incorporated into the apron. This further gives you the same crisp front appearance. Even the bodywork is small for the new 450S and the 450Xs. The side panels develop creases and cuts that further the EV's youthful look.
The new 7-inch DeepView Display from the company is included with the Ather 450S. The two 450X trims, on the other hand, receive a model with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen.
The other areas where the three 450 e-scooters differ are the battery pack and motor options. The 450S features a 2.9kWh battery connected to Ather's 5.4kW (peak power) motor. It has a 90kmph top speed & a maximum range of 115 km for all three variants. The 450S then chooses between two battery sizes: 2.9kWh & 3.7kWh. The bigger battery reaches 150 km, while the smaller battery promises to go 111 km. However, only one 6.4kW motor is used to power both.
The 450S & 450X (2.9kWh) take 8 hours and 36 minutes and 5 hours and 45 minutes, respectively, to charge. The 450X (3.7kWh) takes the same amount of time.
On telescoping front forks and a monoshock, all three types are mounted.
The 3 new Ather models are equipped with telescopic front forks & monoshocks for smoother drive-off experience. The braking system, meanwhile, consists of a single front & rear disc with combined and regenerative braking system. The 450S and 450X variants use the same tyre arrangement. They have 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless 90/90 front and 100/80 rear tyres.
The Pro Pack will be available from Ather for all 3 models of the 450 e-scooter. It offers access to the SmartEco, Eco, Ride, and Sport riding modes on the 450S. On the other hand, there are 5 riding modes that are available for the 450X, including SmartEco, Eco, Ride, Sport, & Warp. Other features include navigation, tow/theft notifications, trip data, inter-city parking, guide-me-home lights, coasting regen, and more. However, customers must pay an additional fee of roughly Rs. 20,000 to use the Pro Pack.
The Ather 450S is available for purchase at Rs 1,29,999, while the 450X (2.9kWh) and 450X (3.7kWh) are each priced at Rs. 1,38,000 and Rs. 1,44,921, respectively (both ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
