Ather Energy to Launch E-Scooter in January

On January 7, 2023, Ather Bikes, an electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer with headquarters in Bangalore, is anticipated to reveal a brand-new e-scooter. The 450 Plus and the 450X are the only two models currently offered by the domestic EV manufacturer.

Despite the fact that the firm hasn't provided any information about this latest electric scooter, reports indicate that Ather would probably introduce it in an entry-level market. However, at this time, none of Ather's products are available in the sub-Rs 1 lakh e-scooter market.

The company is anticipated to release a new Ather energy scooter at a lower price point than its present offerings when the government subsidies disappear in the future. This new e-scooter might have a smaller battery pack and a weaker electric motor in order to compete with models like the Ola S1 Air.

The 450X, the company's best-selling electric scooter, will get a new red colour variation at the same event. On its social media accounts, Ather Energy has hinted at the 450X's upcoming new exterior colour.

In July of last year, the Ather 450X Gen 3 version was introduced in India. White, Space Grey and Mint Green are the three colour options currently available. However, the corporation will soon use a red paint scheme, updating its colour palette. In addition, it's likely to acquire additional functionality and some posh additions, like its limited-edition Series 1 model.

Details on the New Ather Electric Scooter Price and More

Ather presently offers two models: the 450 Plus and the 450X, both of which are more expensive than average e-scooters. However, due to the use of more affordable components, such as a tubular steel frame rather than the 450X's superior (but more complex) aluminium lattice frame, the Ather energy price of this new scooter may end up being less expensive.

Ather had long ago filed for a patent on the upcoming electric scooters with a design that resembled a maxi-scooter. In addition, it also has a flat seat as opposed to the stepped one on the 450X, keeping with the comfort-focused ethos. However, on this front, nothing has happened since, and it is still unknown what Ather will show off in the coming days.

A new limited edition model, similar to the 450X Series 1 model, or even the expansion of new colour schemes for the Ather 450 Plus and Ather 450X electric scooters are additional possibilities.
