Aprilia has finally launched its RS457 motorcycle in the UK market with a starting price of Rs 6.8 lakhs. With this launch, the brand plans to widen its reach in the global market. Also, this launch will definitely offer UK customers with an A2 license more choices that are currently lacking.
Aprilia RS457 directly competes with Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Yamaha YZF-R3. And even though the Aprilia RS457 is more expensive than the Yamaha YZF-R3, the company still hopes for strong sales.

The Aprilia RS457 is a sports bike that gets 457cc, 2 parallel forward-facing cylinders, 4 valves per cylinder, and is liquid-cooled with a ride-by-wire engine. Its powerful engine generates an exceptional max power output of 47.6HP @ 9,400 rpm and 43.5 Nm @ 6,700 rpm of torque. Moreover, its engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox with slip & assist clutch. This allows you to change gears smoothly, which ensures better performance and riding experience.
Moreover, Aprilia RS457 offers smooth clutch engagement, effortlessly crawling at 10 km/h. Its motor pulls smoothly from 2,000 rpm, ensuring easy manoeuvring in traffic. It reaches speeds up to 150 km/h in the 5th gear without hitting the redline of the gear. This makes it ideal for highway cruising.
Aprilia RS457 features a robust frame comprising a stiff aluminium dual-beam structure at the front and a steel tubular subsection at the rear. Moreover, it comes with a 41 mm USD fork with 120 mm travel at the front and a monoshock suspension with 130 mm travel at the rear. Also, both ends have preload adjustability. This setup ensures excellent handling on the track, allowing for confident cornering and smooth weight transfer.
This Aprilia bike is fitted with a ByBRE, Brembo's budget brand, with a 320 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS, traction control, and anti-rollover systems, the braking setup performs efficiently. However, some riders may find the initial need for improvement in the front brakes. Additionally, riders should ensure the correct riding mode to avoid unexpected behaviour from the ABS.
