The Ampere Electric Scooter Prices Hike decision came after Subsidy Reduction.
Ampere has shown good sales numbers during the past few days. After the reduction in FAME II subsidy, the change in prices of the company’s electric Scooter is also took place. The company has decided to increase the prices of its Electric Scooter. The price hike of the Primus is the highest at Rs. 39000.
The government has decided to reduce the subsidies, which were previously set at 40% of the ex-showroom cost, to 15%. As a result, several EV firms opted to raise prices and pass the expense on to customers. However, a few EV manufacturers have yet to raise their prices.
Ampere Zeal EX prices have increased by Rs 20,900, while the Magnus EX prices have increased by Rs 21,000, and now it costs Rs. 1,04,900. Zeal EX and Magnus EX both have a claimed IDC range of 80-100km on a single charge. The primus, previously available at Rs. 1.09 lakh, is now available at Rs. 1.49 lakh with a huge Rs. 39000 hike in price. These price increases are expected to hinder total electric scooter sales in the short future. However, EV adoption will continue to rise in the coming years due to its lower emissions.
