Activa Electric Motor Partially Unveiled in New Teaser

The company teased the new Activa Electric, partly revealing the motor in a fresh promotional video. The electric version of the hugely popular Activa scooter is expected to retain the familiar design. However, it will feature a significant upgrade in the form of electric powertrain technology. 
 

That compact, high-performance motor is promised to be efficient. Honda hasn't officially released full details and launch information yet. Further, Activa Electric will likely to feature in this fast-growing electric scooter segment in India. It is also reported to be launched next year, 2024.

For the third time, Honda teases its Honda Activa Electric on social media, this time partially unveiling the electric motor that powers the scooter. We don't know the full specifications yet, but the teaser gives us a first view of what it might look like.
 

Conventional Motor Setup and Key Features Revealed

It appears that Honda has placed the motor in a conventional manner—side by side with the rear wheel. The scooter would be as good as any Honda Activa 110 fuel model.
 

The teaser also showcases the monoshock suspension and the single-piece seat of the upcoming Activa Electric scooter.

One of the Japanese manufacturer's most important launches in the last few years, the Honda Activa Electric, is going to become an urban commuter. It has an estimated range of around 100km and a top speed of 90 kmph.
 

The electric scooter will compete with the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather 450X, and Ola S1 series.
