2024 Jawa 42 Launched in India: Priced at Rs. 1.73 Lakh

The 2024 Jawa 42 motorcycle has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs. 1.73 lakh. Now, it is Rs. 17,000 cheaper than the previous version's base model. Apart from this, the new Jawa 42 has been improved in many areas, including power delivery, engine performance, and weight distribution. What’s New in 2024 Jawa 42?

The 2024 Jawa 42 has been updated with a third-generation J-Panther engine. Enhancements include better thermal efficiency, a balanced crankshaft, and reduced engine noise and vibration. Moreover, the bike features a new free-flow exhaust system with dB killers for smoother performance. The 6-speed gearbox now comes with an assist-and-slipper clutch, which makes shift gears easier.  

In addition, the first three gears are optimized for low-speed performance, while the higher gears are tuned for better highway rides. The suspension has been revised for improved comfort. Apart from this, it is now available in 6 new colour options. It includes Vega White, Asteroid Grey, Voyager Red, Odyssey Black, Celestial Copper Matte and Nebula Blue.

What's Unchanged in the 2024 Jawa 42?

The 2024 Jawa 42 retains its core specifications and design elements. It continues to be powered by the same 293 cc engine that produces 26.94 bhp and 26.84 Nm of torque. The motorcycle still uses the double-cradle frame with telescopic forks at the front and rear twin shock absorbers. 

Moreover, it maintains the 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, with an option for spoked wheels. The bike offers disc brakes on both ends with single-channel and dual-channel ABS options.
